Moderated Usability Testing
Share
Moderated usability testing focuses specifically on evaluating how users interact with a product’s interface to assess ease of use, identify pain points, and gather feedback for improving usability. A facilitator (moderator) guides participants through tasks in real-time, asking follow-up questions and observing their behavior to understand not only what users do but also why they do it.
This method is commonly conducted during the early and mid stages of product development to refine user flows, test prototypes, and address usability challenges before launch.
